Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar
Dough:
3 cups flour,
1 tbsp sugar,
1 tsp salt,
2 1/4 tsp yeast,
1 cup warm milk (110°F),
1/4 cup melted butter,
1 egg
Preparation
For dough, mix yeast, milk, and sugar; let sit 5 minutes. Add flour, salt, butter, and egg. Knead until smooth (5-7 minutes). Let rise 1 hour.
Cook beef with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned (8-10 minutes). Drain fat. Cool slightly, mix with cheddar.
Preheat oven to 375°F. Divide dough into 12 balls. Flatten each, add 2 tbsp beef mixture, and pinch closed. Place seam-side down on a baking sheet.
Bake 20-25 minutes until golden.
